Vision & Mission

Vision

To promote and safeguard the dignity, rights and well being of research participants by inculcating a sense of ethical responsibility among all stakeholders in human biomedical research in general, and the ethics committee members in particular.

Mission

Safeguarding the dignity, rights and well being of research participants requires that Ethics Committees function independently and responsibly, with fullest application of necessary expertise, adhering to global and national ethical guidelines and in accordance with the values of the local community, and availing all necessary resources to monitor and implement ethical decisions.

FERCI is committed to facilitate the functioning of Ethics Committees by imparting training of their members, assisting them to develop their standard operating procedures, engaging them in continuous improvement pursuits through audits, and above all, providing them a collaborative platform where they can learn from each other through interactions.
